Peter Frampton Performs "Show Me the Way"

the concert on 10 june 2010 in biloxi, ms... was great! well, the opening act (frampton) was great... the headliner just wasn't the same ... i'll say no more just to be polite.

soooo, went to see willie nelson at the house of blues, NOLA, in january... father-in-law died and then our home burnt to the ground shortly after... great concert... nasty memories associated with it. so i decided to set upon a concert 'redeaux' to replace my fave concert t-shirts lost in the fire... it's my 'in your face' to the devastation that has come with this year... asked for a mulligan... haven't received it yet... so i'm going to have a good time till the reset button is hit.

tom and i saw jimmy buffett at the woodlands in may... great concert and no nasty memories... now Ranger and i are leaving on a trip to biloxi to see frampton .... the thought of the beach and the oil spill .... i just hope there is a way and (the gov't uses it) to minimize the damage... 

the photos and vid that i have seen are heart-wrenching... on the plus side, a friend that moved to the area a while back got in touch with me and we are having dinner on friday... i have missed heather, it will be so good to hug her once again.

anyway, have jackson browne scheduled in august along with crosby, stills, and nash... after that? who knows.

sentient beings... thumbs, speech, and other Divine gifts

humans .... created by the Divine? ... i do believe that to be true ... but, special? only in the way we term 'special education' ... i mean, come'on ... we are the least cognizant creatures on this planet ... we never learn by observation ... for if we did, there would never have been a need to write in the old testament and other ancient sources, about personal hygiene, cooking procedures, etc ...

day'umn ... even puppies know not to defecate where you eat and sleep ... humans? another story altogether.

we have speech, thumbs, and all other lil goodies that should make us the most enhanced beings on the planet ... but we cannot keep the most rudimentary survival skills, that are inherent in other species, yet must be deliberately pounded into each generation of the 'higher' life-forms on this rock.

now? humans have devolved to such a degree that nurturing skills must be taught ... and history? is a lesson never learned.
